    Hi,

As far as 12004 is concerned, It is seen when An Internet connection is not detected. Causes include connection timeouts due to firewall settings and failure to resolve a host name due to proxy settings.

What is the version of framemaker ?If it is version 10 or 11 then please check if it is updated ,

else please perform the following steps:

Steps for MIF Wash of Book:

    a)      Close FrameMaker.

    b)      Navigate to the location C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\AdobeFrameMaker11\Samples\ScriptsAndUtilities\BookMIFWash.

    c)       Copy the BookComponentMIFWash.dll and place it in the following location C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\Adobe\AdobeFrameMaker11\fminit.

    d)      Open Maker.ini from the location C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\AdobeFrameMaker11 to edit.

    e)      In Maker.ini find the [APIClients] section and add "MIFwash=Standard, MIF Wash, fminit\BookComponentMIFWash.dll, all" (without quotes) after the first line under [APIClients].

This doesn’t really help anyone except an Adobe engineer; so make sure you’ve submitted it to them. Meanwhile, did the book update ok without errors? Is this happening with any other books or documents? If you start chucking documents out of the book and PDFing as you go, can you identify the offending part that’s causing the error? You need to get it narrowed down.
