Is it safe to revert an FM2019 update?

Hi,

With update 4 on Windows 10, I'm getting a hard crash during certain processing that I did not get with update 3 (or any previous version of FM). Is it safe to download and install update 3 to verify?

This crash is happening during a period of heavy, customized processing by plugins, so it is not easy to describe when it happens. These things are hard to track down. I'd just like to find out if update 4 is the cause.
