Is it worth upgrading from 2017 to 2019?

Hi,

I always buy a perpetual licence for all my software so don't upgrade at the drop of a hat unless I see some real benefits. My previous upgrade was from FM8 to 2017 which resulted in some really significant gains.

I am a self-employed freelancer and only use Unstructured FM. There's no group access, file sharing, or content management systems to take into consideration, and little likelihood of ever using  'Structured' content.

I keep receiving upgrade information from Adobe, but looking at the 'new' features in 2019 I can't immediately see anything that's going to improve my working methods greatly beyond those I currently enjoy using 2017, so I was wondering if I've missed or overlooked something.

Any comments as to how 2019 is going to set the world alight in my given circumstances would be most welcome.

    Hi Mike:

    I think the upgrade is worth it for the faster/better PDF output. I used to have to leave and come back later—now the PDFs are generated very quickly and much improved PDF output controls. It's been a huge timesaver for me.
