Is there a maximum print size in FrameMaker 2020?

I have some documents with a page size of 950 x 750 mm, but they can't print. I am able to get a pdf but with no content and a different size. I have set up a custom ps page size and tried other printer drivers beside PDF as well but with no luck. It does not seem to be the content on the page, because I have tried deleting all content. It does seem that the page size is the culprit.

Might my findings summarized in Creating a banner with FM and Acrobat be an explamanation?

    Strange.

With the option "Use Acrobat Distiller for PDF generation" in the Publish pod activated, I get a PDF with the correct size, but yes, it's empty.

With this option deactivated, everything is fine. Correct size and with content. I used the "Oversized Pages" preset, but this did not change anything. With standard everything worked as well.

For the Adobe PDF printer I created a new page size and changed the page size where there were options for this (Publish pod, Adobe PDF properties, print setup in FrameMaker.

I guess you have the latest FM update 16.0.4, don't you?

Thank you @K.Daube! Yes I think that is the correct answer, unfortunately. Another 3 hours of my life which are never coming back wasted on something which ought to work out of the box 🙂

I just did a test and got the same result with Save As PDF or the Publish Panel. I get a smaller PDF with no content.

Bjørn, you are well within limits. See: https://www.daube.ch/docu/fmaker25.html

    FrameMaker: minimum is 1 x 1" (25.4 × 25.4 mm), maximum not yet found.
PDF: 1 x 1" (25.4 × 25.4 mm) … 216 x 216" (548 × 548 mm). This maximum can only be overcome with reduction of the printer resolution. See Creating a banner with FM and Acrobat. This is not a restriction in Acrobat!

How are you making the PDF? Are you using Save As PDF or using the Publish Panel?

I believe I have tried every thinkable path. Print/Print to File/Publish/Publish with Distiller/Save as PDF. I have even tried different pdf drivers like Microsoft PDF and Bullzip PDF. Nothing works.
