Question

Is there any way to edit the Browse Sequence for FrameMaker 2015?

The Responsive HTML5 manual generated by FrameMaker 2015's "publish" tool has a browse sequence, but this seems to skip from chapter to chapter and does not have a very natural flow (skipping all sub-sections.) Is there any way we can change the browse sequence within FrameMaker? Or make edit a file to get the right browse sequence in the output?

Are you trying to get it advance through each topic in the TOC structure? There’s a setting for that – it used to be something like setting a depth of 0 in the tree for it to generate, but I understand now with the 2015 version, there’s some explicit field that tells it to span all topics in the TOC.

Hi Jeff,

Yes, that's the idea. I'm afraid I don't understand your suggestion, though -- could you say a bit more about it? Do you know, for instance, where this field can be found in FM 2015? We only managed to find a panel in which we can add and remove items from appearing in the TOC, but no place to specify that the browse sequence should move along the items we have included in that TOC element list.

Also, this "setting a depth of 0 in the tree", where did this take place?
