Just a few FM files split into several html pages?

I use FM 2019 to publish as pdf, responsive HTML5 and chm. My FM book consists of a number of FM files. Most of the files are just fine to have as one HTML page each, but a couple of them turn out too big as HTML. Can I somehow have just these big FM files split into many HTML files? (Typically I'd have one HTML page for each "Heading1" paragraph style.)

There are very simple settings to make the output split at a particular paragraph format. But of course you have to be consistent in using that paragraph format. If you want to sometimes split and sometimes not it is never going to work. So if you do have Heading1 in the not-to-be-split chapters, just create a copy of that style with a new name, e.g. Heading1Split and apply it to the places where the split should happen. Make sure to add the Heading1Split to your TOC definiton so that the TOC and heading numbering come out correctly. Then set up the HTML rules (via the Publish panel) to split at Heading1Split and you are done.

I'm not the guru for this. But you may try out so called Publishing Markers (in particular: Page Break), which you place in front of your Heading1- paragraphs.

Insert > Pubishing Marker ... > Page Bread (or similar)

Please read the corresponding Help topic.

The page break markers for publishing with HTML5 are explained in the online help.
