Keyboard doesn't work when I save a PDF file

When I download / Save As, a pdf file from Chrome or a website, and when I type in the file name, I get random letters and numbers when typing the name.  for example, I will type Test, but it comes out 4!#h, 

I just made up the 4 characters.

I have no idea how to fix this.  As a work-around, once saved (with a bizarre name), I go to the file and Rename.

I'm using Adobe Reader DC
