Hi all

on a book, a marker (newlink TOC_list) has been created on the TOC file, and markers (gotolinkfitwin) has been added to each document, pointing to the TOC, for direct linking to the TOC on page of the PDF.

the question is:

has the TOC_filename may change, it is possible to add a variable that defines the name of TOC_filename on the  "gotolinkfitwin", so is not need to change the marker TOC_filename, document by document, when it changes  ?

an inport formats\variable definitions routine is allready established to had "global variables", so that variable including the TOC_filename could be added/dessiminated there.

many thanks

    Hi,

Currently FrameMaker does not support variables in markers. I also would love to have this feature!

I had created a (rather short) feature request in Adobe Tracker:

    https://tracker.adobe.com/#/view/FRMAKER-9482

You might comment and vote for this.

    Hi,

And there are a number of tools which expand markers as regular text.

I would assume that you can use variables there, but I am not sure.

    Tools are e.g.:

    MarkerTools from Leximation

    https://www.leximation.com/tools/

    IXGen

    MarkerWorker from CudSpan

    http://www.cudspan.net/plugins/

    Best regards
