Master page mapping problem

I cannot make framemaker apply a master page using the master page mapping, on a table that spans over several pages. I specified the paragraph tag on wich lays the table anchor and set the Range Indicator to "Span Pages", but it seems it does not span !

This klind of table are the last of my multifiles book so i wouldn't want to insert another blank paragraph at the end of each file  (i.e. after the table) to change the "range indicator" to "until changed".

Anyone got the same trouble ?

What version of FM, by the way?

> ... set the Range Indicator to "Span Pages"

That may need to be "Span pages" (lowercase "p").

I have seen it work (FM7.1). I remarked in an unrelated discussion: You need to set the "Span pages" Range Indicator in the MasterPageMaps, and then make sure the page following the table has some Flow A content to restore the default Left/Right flow (or call in some other page with a Single indicator, such as section/chapter start). ... Curiously, in my tests, nothing inside a table caused a master page map to occur, not TableTitle, not CellHeading, not Cell Body, nor TableFootnote - only the Flow A text prior to or following.

There is another hack that can force what you want (a variation on a This Page Intentionally Blank hack), but let's not go there until Plan A is exhausted.

Thank you for your answer and sorry i forgot to mention the version

I'm using fm 10.0.2.419

Concerning your advice about spelling "Span pages" it was a typo on this message, i set it correctly in the reference page.

I read that paragraph tag inside table/frame/footnote do not trigger the page map, so i was not searching in that direction. But the paragraph tag on which lays the table anchor, triggers the page map on the first page of the table, but does not seem to span on any following pages holding the rest of the table.

let me add a little something

The reason why i wanted to change the page mapping is because i use maybe the "This Page Intentionally Blank hack"

In fact what i'm doing is to have a Left master page that is the "intentionally left blank" page.

And for i don't know why, when i update my book (although i did not ask for applying the master page), FM changed all my book's document left pages with the Left master page (the intentionnaly left blank).

I spent a long time this weekend set it back manually (in all the document , one by one), and when i re-update the book , again it was all reset.

In the reference page i have set the "Book Update" to "no" (maybe it should be "No"?), by anyway , i wouldn't want to again set back manually the master page usage in all the documents. That is, unless i manage to write a script that can do it for me.

I have one that can open all the document in a book one by one, but i don't know how to invoke the master page usage from the script.

I miss the macro recording ability that we had on the Unix version of Framemaker, sure the scripting is very powerfull, but it is hard to find the way of doing with the script what you do with the menu.
