master page table and reserved words

Question

I set up a master page table. One of the master page names is 'Comments' and a character tag also uses the word 'Comments'. I couldn't get FrameMaker to reapply the master pages until I changed the names and got rid of the term Comments. Then the master page table worked just fine.

Is 'Comment' or 'Comments' someone a special word that FrameMaker won't accept?

"Comment" is just a default Conditional tag and shouldn't be affecting master pages (or Character tags). I just tried this with FM12 and there no problems with a "Comments" master page being applied from the mapping table.

Which version of FM?

Are you 100% certain that spelling was correct, the same case used and no leading or trailing blanks were entered in any of the names in any of the locations? FM is quite finicky about that and won't report any errors when things aren't found in the mapping table.
