Master pages and flows

I have the default left / right master pages and have created landscape-left and landscape-right. All use flow A. I have a caption "Figure 1" on the first left page. The second page uses landscape-right. When I add a caption to that page the autonumbering should create "Figure 2" but I get another "Figure 1."

Suggestions?

Are both pages "connected"? If you zoom out and click in one of the pages and choose Edit > Select All In Flow, does everything on both pages highlight?

…and are you using separate ¶formats for 1st Figure, and next Figure?

As with Rick, I suspect you don't have the text flows connected. Did you use the Add Disconnected Pages option?

Also, clarifying what Bob mentions, what is the Autonumbering for the paragraph style you're using for the title?
