Merge Books and ToC using Conditional Text

Hi All,

I am trying to merge four books with similar content into a single book using Conditional Text.

Rather than going about and comparing the three output files(pdf) one by one, I went through and tried comparing the documents/chapters in each book one by one. I applied the conditions to the text added or deleted accordingly (This was a shortcut, and I know, not really advisable). But the problem I am facing now is that the ToC doesn't work, if I try the comparison technique.

My question here is, is there any other way to merge multiple books and their ToCs into a single book and ToC, other than reading through each and every chapter line by line, and apply conditional text tags to the related content?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks,

RG

Correct answer Arnis Gubins

Just create a new book file that includes all of the files (except for the generated - including TOCs). Then create the appropriate generated files - including TOC. You can import the existing formatting from the relevant generated files in any of the other books.
