Currently, the project I am working on has documents created in Framemaker 2015 version. I am planning to upgrade my Framemaker version, that is 2017. Just wanted to know, if I plan for this migration will it impact my documents?

Will there be any formatting issues?

Shouldn't be, but always make a backup before upgrading them.
