My DITA topic is not available

FrameMaker 11DITA 1.2Hi,When I originally set up my EDDs, I did not want anyone using the Topic topic; I wanted everyone to use the task, reference, and conept topics only, until they got more experienced. Now, however, I want to have the Topic topic available to I can create a collection topic for conrefs. However, when I try to open a topic from the FrameMaker DITA menu > New DITA File > New <topic>…, it opens a concept topic rather than a Topic topic. I can’t remember what I did to restrict the use of the Topic topic, therefore I’m at a loss as to how to make it available now. It seems that it should be easy.BTW, topic is at the top of my structapps file, FWIW, but that structapps file is not in my roaming directory. Should it be? Marsha

Answering my own question. It turned out that my topic.edd.fm was corrupt. It was missing the topic.eddmod.fm text inset. How that happened is a mystery but was easily fixed by using the original topic.edd.fm and then importing the other text insets from my files.

I can now open a Topic topic. I have other issues with the topic but that is a subject of a separate thread.
