Navigation panel options not working - selecting heading and delete options

After FM 2020 is reinstalled on new laptop, navigation view options such as select heading and content and delete are not working, Can anybody please help on this?

    I have observed that the Navigation View does not work as intended. The algorithm selecting the heading to be viewed in the tree view is not as clever as expected. If the hierarchy is interupted (e.g. level-1, then immediately level-3, but not level-2), then this is left out. Compare the two views hereafter. To the left the complete list of headings, based on a tabular definition which ¶ format represents which level. To the right the view from the FM-16 navigation view.

      Hi Daube,

      Thanks for the reply. Yes, its strange is that it was working in previous laptop where I was using the same FM version.

      Hi,

       

      Did you install all updates (Help | Updates)? The current version of FM 2020 is 16.0.2.916 (Help | About).

       

      Do you have this issue for all files or only for a specific one?

      For me sometimes (every 4 weeks) some of the menus are greyed out. They work, when I restart FrameMaker or when I close and re-open the file.

        Hi Winfried,

        Thanks for reply, well I did restart frame maker and laptop both multiple times, it didn;t help. Am facing issue with navigation panel options specifically.

        And did you check for any FrameMaker updates?
