Question

object on Master page does not appear on Body page

A header for stationery first page Includes a simple image (a yellow circle) an overlaid organizational name.  This page is called "right."
The first page of the stationery is associated with Master page "right". The image from the Master page right does not appear on the first page of the stationery.  I've been using FM for more than three decades.  What have I done to screw this up?

What does
Format ▼ Page Layout » Master Page Usage…

report?

Also, to speed resolution of unexpected MP usage, my current practice is to include the MP name on every MP in
View ▼ Master Pages…
This makes it obvious what MP any Body page is using, and in Body Page view.

This text would be in a color named Authoring, which is set to Invisible for Color Views other than the one used for authoring.

Master page names, like other FrameMaker named objects, are case-sensitive so you could have a "right" master page as well as the built-in "Right" master page. The "Right" master page cannot be deleted or renamed.

Hi,

From your description I get the impression that you have two master pages "right" (possibly one with just a space at the end of the name). Then you might have assigned the wrong master page.

Do you use this master page "right" elsewhere? With or without circles?

Best regards, Winfried
