Object Properties window in FM10

Here's what I am observing in FM10: I have the Object Properties pod window open and docked as part of my permanent authoring workspace. I select an anchored frame expecting to get width and height information in Object Properties...nothing happens. I right-click on the frame and select Object Properties from the pop-up menu and I get height and width info in different non-pod Object Properties window (which I can't leave open). Also noticed that the Object properties icon is gone (or I can't find it) from the menu bar.

P.S. Just tried to switch to Design mode to see if it behaves differently...certainly did! it crashed.

This behavior is identical to the one experienced in FM9.  The panel opened through Window > Panels > Object Properties only reports meaningful values when objects of type "Imported Graphics" are selected (even though there is nothing in the name to imply this).

Also note after selecting a new DPI value for bitmaps through the Set DPI button in this panel, the new value is displayed correctly in the Object Properties panel, but you must also click the Apply button for the new value to be registered.

Dear Shlomo: I am working in FM11.

The object properties function is interfering with the size of my textframe.

I have never used the object properties before so am at a loss to understand why it insists on giving me a 3.81cm side head column.
