Object styles do not update when you import a fm into another fm file

I am building a small catalog in FrameMaker 2020. It is a product catalog and I create a separate fm file for each product. These files are then imported into the catalog file. When I import the product file I get an option to use the stylesheet of my catalog file and map it with that of the imported product files. This works fine for paragraph and character properties, but less so for object properties. It seems that FrameMaker does not do any mapping when it comes to object properties tags.

Am I the only one to experience this?

    In my experience, object styles do not behave like the other styles in FrameMaker. Lots of oddities.

     

    What happens if you try File > Import > Formats and enable Object Styles?
