"One or more of the files in your FrameMaker book is not a FrameMaker document. This file will be ignored while FrameMaker updates the book."

Nonsense, of course, but I notice the file in question (not always the same file) temporarily loses its .fm icon in the book panel.

My guess would be, network problems slowing the writing of updates; any comments before I mildly mention this to our IT Support?

I probably wouldn't even bother with that at the moment, at least until I'd

done a MIF-wash and saved it back as an .fm file -- probably a new one,

instead of overwriting the old one, just in case it's a OS or network issue.

You can prep for this pretty easily in your book by copying and pasting the

problem file to create a copy and they testing the copy. Because you did

the renaming in the book, it should be automagically integrated and not

    require updating the book.
