Page numbers as chp number +n

I have chapters numbered 100, 200, etc.

I need page numbers as 101, 102, then 201, 202, etc. per chapter.

how would I code that in the footer?

Just leave the page number variable as it is and use the Book file settings to set the page number starting values for each file, e.g. for the first chapter (100) set the starting page number number to 101, etc.

Thanks - that's what we're doing presently. It seems slightly kludgey.

Is there a way to add numeric values in those fields and display the result?

Is there a book or article that covers the use of these building blocks, numbering, etc. well?
