I have the exact same problem and I cannot solve it. I have a book with 12 chapters. I open the book and I no longer see the book panel where I can rearange the order of the chapters. I have even tried creating a new book and I cannot see the panel.

    Hi,

In the Window menu click Composite Documents. There your book file should be listed.

When you click your book file, it will be selected. What happens?

Possibly your book file panel was moved out of the FrameMaker window. And possibly almost hidden from your desktop.

    Best regards, Winfried

    Hi,

Do you work with structured or unstructured FrameMaker?

Do you mean the book window with the single files? Just go to your file explorer and double-click on the book file. Then FrameMaker will show it in the foreground.

    Best regards, Winfried

Have you tried selecting a different workspace or resetting your workspace that you were using? ps - a screenshot might help too...
