PDFL fails in FM-15 - just a statistic

We all do know that the generation of PDF with PDFL in FM-15 (aka 2019) is not that reliable. But I wanted to support this by a short statistik spanning the last 13 months.

Month Docs OK NOK Books OK NOK

NOK means that the process failed and FM quit' You see, that the geneation of a PDF for a book failes more often than for single documents.

Now my question: Is it really reliable in FM-16 (aka 2020)?

Hi Klaus, are you looking for anecdotal information from us?

In my experience, using Fm 2020 and the Publish panel has been a massive improvement in both reliability and in speed.

What took 3+ hours in previous versions now takes less than 5 minutes.

While I probably have crashed during a PDF generation in Fm 2020, I can't recall it.*

Certainly, no crashes in the past few months, and not ever enough to consider keeping statistics.

    * I do ensure all my projects open cleanly (no missing resource alerts, masked or otherwise) and that all my projects have book files that update without Book Error Logs. I strongly suspect this is why my books and my linked Fm to Rh projects update and publish more successfully than is often reported on the forums.

    Thanks Matt for Your response.

Before I create any output I also obey this rule. It is somewhere in my head that the PDFL problem with FM-15 has been fixed in FM-16 (probably in update 2) - but do not find a clear statement about this. That's the reason why I asked about experience with PDFL in FM-16.

So it seems that is also for me time to switch all my projects to FM-16.0.4 ...

Sorry, but I'm unclear about the PDFL reference, and I'm guessing I'm not the only one who doesn't know exactly what that is...

What do you mean by experience with PDFL?
