Are these figures (graphics?) anchored? Do you have text or graphics inside a parent frame?

    Hi @graceful_speaker4749:

Perhaps you created a new username? I don't see your post from a year ago in your history, which I hoped might have provided some context.

Until you come back with details/screenshots as per @Winfried Reng and @Jeff_Coatsworth, we are left to guess at your workflow.

The Align panel does align objects but the wording differs from what you wrote. FrameMaker uses Align Vertically vs "Align Vertical Center", which is what InDesign and Illustrator show in their Alignment panels, so I'm not clear that you are referring to the FrameMaker Align panel. If you are, the Align panel aligns one object to the paper, and multiple objects to each other and works exactly as expected.

But you said two figures and in FrameMaker, figures are normally in anchored frames and the anchored frame settings control the alignment, so the Align panel won't do anything, unless you have multiple images within a single frame and are trying to align those within the frame.

    Details help us help you.

First off - you know that this is a user-to-user forum, right? If you want to get any suggestions or bugs on the FM team's radar, you have to log it in the Tracker (https://tracker.adobe.com/). Posting your Tracker number here allows people to review and upvote it; the more upvotes something gets, the higher the probability that it gets done or fixed.
Secondly, maybe you can go into whatever issue you're running into here and maybe somebody can help you with suggestions or workarounds. Posting screenshots (using the Insert Photos icon) explaining the issue are especially helpful (vs. adding images as attachments to your post - that makes it harder for forum participants to see what's going on).

    Hi,

This is a user-to-user forum. We are not Adobe employeees and cannot fix any bugs.

Who had you contacted a year ago?

Is your issue already in the Adobe Tracker?

You can report issues yourself in the Adobe Tracker. However, your description is rather vague.

Possibly there are other ways to solve your issue. Can you describe this in more detail?

    Best regards, Winfried
