Positioning frames exactly, like objects?

Hi, all. There are times where I would like to set the dimensions and position of frames manually (x, y), as can be done with objects. However, I can find no way to do this (with text frames, for example). How do people apply/create specific layouts without being able to set (and view) frame position to specific requirements? What am I missing? Thanks, in advance; I appreciate the help!

    Hi @techieblue:

To manually position a text frame, select the text frame with the Object Selection took and use Graphics > Object Properties > Dimensions. You can also use Format > Customize Layout > Customize Text frame.

I typically size and position my two primary text frames by defining the margins on the Master pages, but I use the above techniques if I am manually positioning any other objects.

Also note that if you are moving a frame by dragging, you can see the XY coordinates in the lower left-hand corner, on the status bar. If you're resizing a frame, you will see the width and height values while you are actively resizing.

Thanks, Barb, this works. I had been confused that the Graphics > Object Properties and the regular "Object Properties" screen were one-in-the same. Rather confusing, but I got there! Appreciate your help!
