preparing for migration – how do I check a new installation?

Anticipating the worst when Tech Support show up with a new laptop [theoretically] equipped with FM12 and whatever CSS is called these days … what's a quick and easy test to make sure they've followed the advice I passed on to them about installing FM without clobbering Acrobat Pro? Sorry to sound so negative :-}

    If you can do a SaveAsPDF from FM12, then they did it correctly. The installation order really doesn't matter, as long as one doesn't install both the FM supplied PDFCreator and Acrobat.

    Thanks for the tips. In the event, after brisk discussions, they went away without delivering the laptop … it's a long and depressing story :-}

    Perhaps look at the time stamps on the top level product directories in \Program Files\Adobe\

    You want \FrameMaker12.0\ to be the oldest.
