Problems with Paragraph Designer in FM 2015

I've tried to set up new paragraph styles using the Paragraph Designer. I input all of my parameters and click APPLY. When the dialog box appears, I tell it to add the new style to the catalog and apply it to the document. All's well with t he world. However, when I click on the new paragraph name in the Paragraph Catalog, the paragraph reverts to some default setting. Now I'm hating life. Anyone else had this problem? Know of a fix?

Clicking Apply applies the changes you made (overrides) to the currently

selected paragraph ONLY. If you want to change the style permanently

everywhere it is used, click the Update All button instead.

"When the dialog box appears, I tell it to add the new style to the

catalog and apply it to the document." I'm not sure what you mean by

this. I've never seen any dialog appear when clicking either Apply or

Update All in the Page Designer.

That was the solution. THanks.

Addendum: I just realized that you said FM 2015. I don't have that one

yet, so maybe they've added some dialogs that I don't know about.

Depending on exactly what I was thinking about while making changes, I've occasionally been surprised by the specific dialogue FM has shown. Thinking carefully, and taking notes as I went, I think I've decided the following is consistent:

track A: change character style for selected paragraph, [Update all] in character designer, 'Global update options' dialogue with three radio buttons

track B: change character style for selected paragraph, [Commands] New format, 'New format' dialogue with checkboxes for  [ ] Store in catalog and [ ] Apply to selection

Much perhaps depends on which Designer tab OP was working on at the moment of recording what was observed.
