In this screenshot I have used 2 different indents and a tab :
— 1 (indent first) : 0.5 cm
— 2 (indent left) : 1 cm
— 3 (tab left) : 1.5 cm
What is the function of each ?
How do they work together in that case ?
If you add more text, the indents and tabs make sense. You have a general 1 cm left indent. A 0,5 cm first line indent. The "first line indent" is meant for the first line in a paragraph and is what often is used for subsequent paragraphs in fiction.
The 1,5 tab setting allows you to have an extra indent on the text.
