Re: Frame Release 2017: How to remove the highlight from copied text

Hello everybody,

I copied and pasted highlighted text from Word into Framemaker 2017 (the US version) and it shows up highlighted in Frame, just as it was in Word.

Now I want to remove the highlight, but I don't know how.

Who can (and is willing) to tell me the solution.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Carl from Holland.

    Correct answer SchweineKarl

I tried something and it worked.

    1. Select the highlighted word.

    2. In the Character Catalog, click Default font.

    The highlight disappears.

If you had done a Paste Special > Text, then you probably wouldn't have brought over the formatting from Word.

Thanks Jeff. Yes, but the text I was copying from Word also contained a single-row table after each entry in the list.

The copied text was more than 280 pages, because I needed to put translations into a single row, 2-column table. In frame this was impossible to do quickly. In word I selected the 2 words for each entry, then highlighted the 2 columns of the single row table and pasted the 2 words in one go. I tried to do the same in Frame, but it was impossible; I had to copy and paste the source word into a table cell and then copy and paste the translation into the second column. Way too tedious and time-consuming when you have 280 pages worth of translations.  If the situation is not clear, I can send you a screen shot.

So, you're right, but it wasn't just text I needed to copy.

    Thx for your input.
