We just installed Acrobat DC with the Adobe Tech Comm Suite, and when we try to use the Save as Review feature, we get an error stating "Error opening PDF file! Please check of you have correct version of Adobe Acrobat (8.0 or later) installed." If we try to generate a PDF from the .ps file, Distiller comes up blank.

    Could it be that you just have to open Acrobat after your new installation and confirm some dialogs before Acrobat can start?

    Until then FrameMaker would not find Acrobat as PDF viewer.

    This is save as Review from what version of FM?

     

    I just tried it from FM2020, but on a machine with Acrobat DC (21.007.20095) installed as part of Creative Suite. The process ran without error, and at one point opened a Distiller dialog (no About control available). Curiously, a search of my file system for distil* turns up no classic distill.exe.
