Redact in FrameMaker

Is there a way to flag a list of words or phrases in FrameMaker automatically?

My company has legacy documents with terms and phrases no longer in use. The find and change function works but our list of terms and phrases is long and a way to automatically flag them or even replace them with the acceptable work or phrase would be much more helpful.

The word redact in the subject line could use some clarification.

It appears that some list-driven batch change is required, for which Rick's script is apt to be the solution.

But change to what: replace with new text, delete, replace with redaction block?

No problem Dave. I don't always remember all the stuff I have.

Not aware of anything like that unless there is an ExtendScript similar to InDesign's Find/Change by List script.

If appropriate, you could try exporting the text RTF and running a macro in Word.
