Hi,

Is there a way to remove the underlines from hyperlinks created in HTML5 output?

I have been searching for an answer but have not had any luck.

Thanks for any help.

Cheers,

Elizabeth

    Hi Elizabeth,

The reason you're not having luck editing the CSS is that instead of using Style Mapping options, you're using default FrameMaker formatting, something like Use Source Style.

Start by mapping your paragraph styles to entries in the CSS in your Publish options. Then you'll be able to control your output with the CSS in either then Publish pod, or for advanced things, by exporting, changing, and importing your CSS file.

    Hello all,

Did anyone got the way to accomplish the query raised (To remove the underline of the crossreference/xref tag in  HTML output).

Already tried all the options mentioned and discussed in forum but with no luck.

Thanks in advance for the support.

    SURYA.

I'm not using FM to generate HTML, but if I had a situation like yours, one analysis step might be to examine the generated HTML for clues about where the underlines are coming from: in-line CSS, <head Class CSS, external .css

The hyperlinks are your cross references.

So these depend on your cross reference style. (character style)

In the Publish pod, choose responsive HTML, and then edit the Settings file.

In Style mapping select the style you use for the cross references/hyperlinks and change it to be without the underline.

    Hi Zippy21, Jeff_Coatsworth,

When I look at the Settings file in the Publish pod, the text does not appear with underlines.

When I create a PDF of the document the links appear in the color I chose and are not underlined.

I have looked at every file created after publishing and can't determine what is causing the underlines.

    Any other suggestions??

    Thank you again.

    Cheers,

    Elizabeth

Can you give us the same screenshot that Zippy21 shared?

I suspect that would be controlled by the CSS applied to the files.
