Question

RHF integration with FM8

I still use RoboHelp for Framemaker even though it is no longer an active product. It was integrated into my FM 7 toolbar. I recently upgraded to FM8 and now I don't see the RHF menu anymore. I reinstalled RHF but still no menu in the FM8 toolbar. How do I get FM8 to recognize the RHF program and integrate it into the toolbar? Note - when I start RHF, I get the system message " CAN'T FIND PATH TO FRAMEMAKER"

    I had the same problem when I installed FrameMaker 7.1 on another machine. RoboHelp did not appear on the menu bar. When I compared the maker.ini files, I noticed that the following line was missing just before the [DashPatterns] section:

    RoboHelp4FrameMaker=Standard,RoboHelp4FrameMaker Plugin,C:\Program Files\RoboHelp for FrameMaker\RHFrame.app\Bin\LibB3FrameMakerServerRSST.dll,all

    Adobe FrameMaker 8 does not provide support for RHF.

    There is tight integration between RoboHelp 7 and FrameMaker 8 for converting FrameMaker documents to online Help. Importing/Linking FrameMaker files in RoboHelp can be done through recently announced Adobe Technical Communication Suite.
