Question

Scale images when publishing to HTML5?

I am publishing a large book to HTML5.  I have this issue that some of the images become too small when published as HTML5. Text becomes difficult or impossible to read. I CAN scale the images in the FM document before publishing, but it is a tiresome and error prone process.

Is it possible, somehow, to have FM scale certain images automatically during publishing?

    Hi Bjorn,

What do you have set in the Images option "Preserve Original Image Dimensions"?

You say that "some of the images become too small". Does this mean that only these are scaled down? Or all, but only these have text?

What is the file format? Vector or pixel?

    Best regards, Winfried

Structured or unstruc? Struc might provide more attribute control.

    What image file format?
"Some of the images…" suggests some sensitivity to file type. If SVG works, you can wrap any other format in SVG pretty easily. I'm using that hack to work around a non-FM image format limitation on another site.

How is size specified in FM?

What does the HTML ‹img markup look like, in particular style attributes width: & height: and units thereof?
