Script Help

Hello,

I need an Adobe FrameMaker script that analyzes the text frame contents, and locates any sentences starting with "A." and changes those to a specific paragraph catalog then removes the "A." from the sentence

Thank you!

You could also copy the paragraph format to the clipboard (copy special)and then search for "\PA.".

\P searches for the start of a paragraph and then your "A.".

Then select Pasting to paste the paragraph format in the clipboard.

After all paragraph formats are fixed, search again and then replace with empty text to remove the "A.".

I do not know, if this search is specific enough for your requirements.

Definitely easier than a script.

That is a valid point. However, I want the script to run through my document and change it in several instances, along with other variations.

Can you post a before/after sample screenshot? Or better yet, can you meet so you can show me the details of what you want to do? rick at frameexpert dot com

Unfortunately, I do not have a screenshot, nor do I know where to begin.

One way to look at it is to outline the steps of how you would do it manually in FrameMaker. Are you able to meet so I can see the manual process?
