search by language

Opening a long-ago document from a former colleague, I find a few minor inconsistencies; specifically, a couple of styles with the wrong language setting. Before rolling up my sleeves and correcting them via mif, I thought I'd experiment with Search options:

Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to locate any of the content with language set to US English. Am I hoping for too much, or have I missed something in setting up the search properties?
