Search/replace paragraph tag

Hi, I need to globally retag all paragraphs within a document that have a "1stLevHead" tag and change them all to have a "1.0 Heading" tag.  I thought the search/replace would let me do this.  I can find 1stLevHead paragraphs, however, it doesn't provide a Change option for selecting the new paragraph tag.

I'm on Framemaker 11.02 (unstructured).

Thanks for your help,

Beth

You can also use the Find/Change dialog:

1 Put your insertion mark into a paragraph 1.0 Heading.

2 Right click in the paragraph and select Copy Special | Paragraph format.

3 Then go to the Find/Change dialog. In the Find field select Paragraph tag. Enter 1stLevHead.

4 In the Change field select By Pasting. Then click on Find.

5 When you click on Change, the paragraph format which you had copied into the clipboard is pasted.

When this works, you may click on Change all.

Note: You will copy not only the paragraph tag, but also its local formatting, e.g. changed page breaks.

And thank you Winifried!  It took me a couple of times to get it to work, but I got it!

    I appreciate your help!

    1. Place your cursor in any of the 1stLevHead paratags of your document.

    2. Using the Paragraph Designer, change the Paragragh Tag: name to "1.0 Heading" and click on Update All.

    3. FM will ask if you want to rename all "1stLevHead " to the new name.

    4. Click on OK and the job is done.

Thank you Arnis!  I had tried the Paragraph Designer, but had clicked Appy before Update All and did not get the rename option.  Thanks for clarifying.  I knew there had to be an easy way!
