Shaded Object With Text or Number
What is the best way to do the following:
I want to have a shaded rectangle (blue), approximately 0.690" width x 1.344" height. The chapter number (bold white) is to be centered inside this blue rectangle. Once created, I need to position the rectangle and chapter number over the last three letters in the word "Chapter", send the rectangle to the back (I presume), and have the last three letters show through the rectangle.
I have created the rectangle and chapter number using a text box (although it's difficult to get the number centered), and I can position it over the last three letters. Of course, it covers the letters, so I send it to the back. Once I've done that, I can't select it again without moving the body frame, which seems like a lot of trouble and I don't think that's the best way to do this.
I've thought about using an anchored frame and importing a numeral that I can save as a .gif, but I can't control the exact placement of the anchored frame.
Any suggestions? I'm going nuts.
