Storing unstructured FM files

Which DMS (PLM) options work well with FrameMaker 11 and 12? Our current system handles version 10 well for checking book structures (hierarchies) in and out and maintaining version control. However, the system is not up-to-date to handle the latest versions for FM. We have users on version 11 & 12 that cannot store complex files. All of our work is done in unstructured. Moving to structured authoring won't completely solve our dilemma, as most of our content is not ideal for structured format (primarily graphics, spreadsheet tables etc). We author manufacturing content (service manuals and parts manuals).

I welcome any suggestions and would love to hear what people are using.
