SVG, PDF, EPS transparency display issues in FrameMaker

In FrameMaker 2020, whenever I insert a PDF, EPS, or SVG image (created in Illustrator) with a transparent background, FrameMaker displays the background as white.

However, it appears correctly in the PDF created from the FrameMaker file.

EMF is the only format where FrameMaker recognizes the transparent background (I also tried PNG and TIFF).

Is there a way to display imported PDFs correctly in FrameMaker, i.e., without the white background? Is this a setting somewhere?

FrameMaker itself can not handle transparency in the rendering.

If you don't specifically need that yellow fill on the alert symbol, you might implement it as a character:
    ⚠ U+26A0 WARNING SIGN

Also, not having needed to have any competence in safety colors & symbols for some years now, I'm not sure what the current ANSI Z535.1 & ISO 3864-1 might have to say about multiple colors in signal word panels.
