Table as header and footer in page layout

I´ve done some research and I am new to Adobe FM.

As part of the transition from MS Word to Adobe FM I should be keeping what was set as the normal template of the company for our documentation.

 

Let´s say that the header of the page has a 1 row three columns table where different info about the document and company logo apperars distributed in each cell.

 

Footer has a similar structure with a disclaimer and a logo in a 1 row two column table.

Page numbers appear behind that table in the footer.

 

I am not even looking for an answer of how to exactly do it but, it is important for me to know form your experience if:
- Is it possible? Did not find any similar procedure online. If yes....any clues on where to start to look at?

    Hi,

    Yes, you can insert tables into the header and footer. I have this in my template, and it works well.

    When you want that the table is on top of the table anchor, then do what is recommended in some posts: negative space below in the anchor paragraph and the same negative value in the table top margin.

    I use this so that long running headings in the left side of the header do not move the info on the right side of the header.

      The background Text Frames on master Pages can contain Tables.

      The Table cells can contain any of the types of text suitable for Master Pages (which is both a bit more, and a bit less than Body pages can contain).

      However, in the specific case of a single-row with 3 or fewer columns, a Table is usually not needed. Just use Tab-separated text elements with Left␉Center␉Right alignment.

        I might add that a typical page layout of mine might have:

         

        Margin: MasterPageName
            {directly on MP, manually entered, in color switched off for publication via Color Views, very handy for alerting that an AMP is overdue}

         

        L&R below are swapped for L/R page layouts. Right page described.

         

        Header:
        L: ◀Contents|Index▶
            navigation hypertext {switched off for print edition}
        C: filename.fm
            {from Filename variable Filename (Short), switched off for publication}
        R: ChapterName
            {from system variable Running H/F 1}

         

        Footer:
        L: TopicName
            {from system variable Running H/F 2}
        C: ProjectName|Timestamp
            {from a user variable & system var Modification Date (Short), switched off for publication}
        R: #
            {from system variable Current Page #, but often "Page # of #" for other projects}
