Table on Reference Page

Hello,

I know that you can use the reference page to save and modify often used graphics. (Insert a graphic on the reference page and give the frame a name -> use the name later in the Paragraph Designer-Advanced function to insert the graphic at the respective position)

But is this possible to do the same with a table? I have four types of tables, that occure several times in my document. But I can't figure out how to insert the table on the reference page with some sort of tag, I can later select on the body page..

Thanks in advance

Hi Hannah,

Do you want a table which you can modify? Or only a static table.

For a static table you could create a graphics reference frame on the reference page, insert a text frame in this reference frame and then a table in this text frame.

Or there is the Auto-Text plugin from Silicone Prairie software:

As far as I know you would have to create a new file with some snippets which you can reference in other files.

Or you could create a file with separate text flows which you can reference as text insets.

Bob explained this here:

You can also adapt a table format, so that the header row and the first body row have predefined paragraph formats. When you set autonumbering, then the header row and the first body row would have default text.

So there are a few solutions, but I do not know what fits for you.

Best regards

This is an example. On the Reference Page I have added a text frame with a table. That table has a table tag called "Reference Table Tag". If you go to the body pages,  there is a bunch of tables in the end of the document. You can apply the table tag "Reference Table Tag" to those tables and have them look like the table on the Reference Pages.

I think that someone (Cudspan?) had developed a plugin which you can use to reference content from the reference page. Also Tables. However, I cannot find it now.
