Question

The default font type and setting of equations

Hello all,

When I am editing a source file from my colleague, I found that the font type and setting of my Framemaker 2020 is different from the ones my colleague is using.  For example, my colleague's font type of all equations is Times New Roman but when I open my colleague's source file, the font type becomes something different.   May I know how I can ensure that when I open my colleague's source file, the setting of my Framemaker follows my colleague's one?

Regards,
Ed

    Adding to jeff,
This must be an issue with the missing font on the machine, FM gives a console warning for "missing fonts ".
You can also check missing fonts from the Fonts panel (View-Panels-Fonts).

The issue is probably that you're missing fonts that the other person has used in their files. There's a setting in the Preferences to warn or not warn you about these missing fonts & to sub in another choice of font that you DO have. The real solution is to use fonts that you BOTH have.
