imho, it's tables that cause the most trouble; what I do there, resignedly, is apply the condition to the content of each cell instead of just selecting the row and seeing those disconcerting chevaux-de-frise
the other tweak I've sometimes had to use is setting up extra style for headings, so that I can show a deleted heading in the text without having it show up in the ToC and not looking deleted :-}
apart from that, and refusing to use any form of 'automated' track changes in any software, I'm very happy with FM's revision options; I have source files for one large regulatory document I used to work on that neatly include changes, additions and deletions for around thirty releases while only displaying (of course!) those for the latest round
