TOC creation - chapter number along with page number

Hi mam,

 

I want to know create TOC like below content,

Requirement

Backeyecamera.....6-25

Backeyecamera is the subtitle(TitleSection) in 6th chapter

6 is the chapter 

25 is the page number 

 

What I got is 

Backeyecamera.......25

 

Can u please post clarity on this please...

    Framemaker supports a number of generated lists:

    • a Table of Contents (TOC) is a chronological list of paragraph styles. 
    • a List of Paragraphs (Alphabetical) (APL) is an alphabetical list of paragraph styles.

     

    The good news is that they all work generally the same way. Remove your TOC, add an APL, and make the same fix on the APL reference page.

    I just saw your video (my apologies, I missed it earlier). I do want to say that once you get your generated files set up and working correctly, the updates should just take a couple of minutes. In the meantime, we are happy to answer your questions.

      Hi @Nithya30375401w9kl:

       

      In FrameMaker, reference pages control the presentation of the generated files. You will need to add <$chapnum>– in front of the <$pagenum> building block on the TOC reference page.

        Added as u said ..but not  came

         

        And mam , I watched ur video sessions tried but the output not came for our requirement...please support to sort out..we are really struggling ... it consuming one working day completely and delays our project submission at every time...

        After you add the <$chapnum> building block, you have to update the book to regenerate the TOC.
