type text in 12.0.4

Good Morning...

Have updated Framemaker to the  12.0.4 version. When I try to use the type "A" button, I click in my frame and a message comes up giving me a Hotspot window.

Can I still type text somehow without using the text box and then typing the text?

    Also....tried to draw a text box and type in it.....Hotspot comes up....

    Just to let anyone know that has this problem. You MUST restart computer after updating....lol...All is well now.....
