Typing suddenly very slow in FM19

The typing is suddenly very slow when using FM19 (15.0.8.979). It doesn't matter if I restart FM and create a new blank document, the typing still takes ages.

I can't figure out how to get back to normal typing speed.

 

FM20 on the same computer has no problems.

Windows 10.

    Try moving to the Blank Workspace and resetting it and see if the typing speed improves.
