Unable to delete or edit footer of only one chapter

Question

Hi,

I want to edit or delete footer of chapter but i am unable to do it.

I am able to edit the footer of other pages, but finger pointer of link appears for the same(But there is no link).

However,graphic tool as well as variables window is inactive.

can any one please suggest me any solution.

May not be anything to do with your problem, but have you checked to see whether the document has accidentally been set to Read-only? You haven't said whether you can edit any content in the main text pane. The keyboard shortcut for locking/unlocking a document is (one key at a time) Esc, upper-case F, lower-case l, lower-case k
