Unable to export my FM file to PDF - my FM just crashes

Hi,

I am unable to export my FM file to PDF, my FM just crashes. Can you help?

Ok lots to work with here - first, trial version is just the same as the regular FM product - just time-limited.
Second, if you're trialling FM, why aren't you using the latest FM2022?
Third, Save As PDF is the issue; can you Print to the Adobe PDF printer instance? Can you use the Publish to PDF route?
Fourth, what happened 15 days ago when it worked & now doesn't.
Fifth, did you install/reinstall as an Admin on your machine?

To answer to your questions, I am using 2020 version because my teammates are using the same. I need to send my project for publishing to the team which uses 2020 version, hence I downgraded to 2020 from 2022.

I am able to print to PDF and can open the file in the browser. (not adobe acrobat or pdf). I am unable to publish to PDF route though. 

Not sure what happened, one day when I tried to save as pdf, I encountered the error. I had not made any changes like reinstalling or any other change in the settings.

Yes, I install/reinstall as as Admin.

Hmm, IIRC the Save As and Publish routes both use the new PDF engine; Print to PDF uses the older distiller technology with the Adobe PDF printer instance. That would explain why you're having issues with the Save As/Publish routes.
What exact version of 2020 are you on? I think the last patch was #8. Are any of your other team members having the same issue?

@Deepali24950041mm0e - I've moved your post into its own thread now. Please give us some details on your FM install (version? patch level?) and answer @Winfried Reng 's questions about how you're creating the PDF (there are several ways now depending on your version).

Can you start a new thread and not rehash a thread which is several years old?

Please tell us in a new thread, how you create the PDF. Is this a book or a single file? Did this start today and you have this issue only in a single file or with all files? Did this work before?

What's your FrameMaker version?
