Unavailable Fonts

Ever since a company-wide OS upgrade (XP SP2 to SP3 among other things), all FrameMaker documents (for all users) complain about unavailable fonts. Console says:

The "Arial Black" Font is not available.

"Arial Black Heavy" will be used in this session.

The thing is that the system font folder (Windows\Fonts) does have Arial Black but I don't see Arial Black Heavy. Does FrameMaker use a different font folder? Does the "upgrade" have anything to do with it (since this problem did not occur before SP3)?

It's an SP3 thing, here's a previous thread with info:

    Thank you.

I am pasting the fix you had originally posted--just in case someone else needs it.

------Instructions to fix this font issue*Start*-------

Access C:\WINDOWS\Fonts folder and make backup copy of the “Arial Black (TrueType)” file. This file may also be displayed as “ariblk.ttf”.

Re-access C:\WINDOWS\Fonts folder and delete the “Arial Black (TrueType)” file.

Access C:\WINDOWS\$NtServicePackUninstall$ and find ariblk.ttf. Copy it and paste it into the C:\WINDOWS\Fonts folder.

-------Instructions to fix this font issue*End*-------

This worked for me. Thanks again!
