We are upgrading from FrameMaker 9 to 10 (on WIndows NT platform). Are there issues I should be aware of? Are there config files I should back up before we upgrade? Also, we will be switching from NT to Windows 7 soon.

The FM is currrently at version 11, so that isn't much of an "upgrade".  Actually, in a few months, FM will most likely be at version 12 (see: https://blogs.adobe.com/techcomm/2013/09/adobe-technical-communication-products-next-release-plan.html) and you'll again be a couple versions back.

Also, Windows NT has been an unsupported platform by Adobe for applications in a very long time, so if you run into any issues, you're totally on your own for this.

FM10 had an activation bug that requires an immediate patch in order to get it to run. I really don't know if this will work in the NT environment. (See: http://helpx.adobe.com/framemaker/kb/cant-launch-framemaker-10.html)

Thanks Arnis - we are always a few versions behind here. We'll see what happens with NT, and if we have problems, I will check out that helpful link.
